Women Veterans Support | WRAC Association

It is a real privilege to be trusted to serve as President of the Women’s Royal Army Corps Association. I am proud to be part of a community defined by service, resilience, and a strong sense of sisterhood and friendship.

The story of the WRAC is one of determination - of women who served with professionalism, often in the face of challenge, and who built something lasting. For many of us this is deeply personal, including for myself. Whilst my WRAC service was limited to my university days, it was huge in impact. I now serve as the Vice Chief, standing on the shoulders of my WRAC teammates.

Today, we see that same legacy. For the first time in our Army’s history, there is a woman at every rank - from recruit to four-star general. That progress is the direct result of decades of persistence, professionalism, and quiet determination. It is nearly normal to see women in leadership, in command and succeeding across defence.

As President, my commitment is to honour that legacy in a way that feels real, to sustain the strong sense of connection that defines this Association. It is also about looking ahead, ensuring that what has been built over decades continues to have meaning, and pride, for those who follow. We continue to support our serving and veteran women.

And perhaps that is the true legacy of the WRAC - not simply what it achieved, but what it made possible.

Vice President and Chair of Trustees

As Vice President it is my priority to lead an association which meets the needs of all our members, and as Chair, I ensure our trustees exercise compliance, prudence and duty of care. Our trustees direct the affairs of the WRAC Association and meet our charitable outcomes by delivering excellence within our four pillars of benevolence, governance, influence, and membership. We structure and deliver events and communications to ensure female veterans feel connected, supported and valued. Across wider society, we raise the issues faced by female veterans and strengthen their legacy, particularly as we approach the 90^th Anniversary of the Auxiliary Territorial Service in 2028 and the 80^th Anniversary of the Women’s Royal Army Corps in 2029.

Chief Executive Officer

Delivering our strategy and overseeing our operations are an honour and a joy. The thousands of veteran and serving women who comprise our membership are unsurpassed in their support for each other across the UK and the world. We welcome veteran and serving women from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, and I am proud to lead a team which celebrates their service, supports their welfare and continues the camaraderie beyond the barracks. Through our strong relationships with the Ministry of Defence, Office for Veterans Affairs and across the wider veteran charity sector we are informing policy and ensuring female veterans are considered and celebrated for their service.
